About me

Hello! 🌸 My name is Iga, I live in Cracow, Poland and I decided to follow my heart.

I'd like to be a front-end developer.

I've started my first serious steps into this direction in October 2019, but in fact, the adventure with websites has always been in my life somewhere. As a young teenager, I spent long hours on the then very popular blogs called "mylog" which were based on templates created with html and css.

According to it when I was planning go to the college, I wanted to study "Electronic Information Processing" on Jagiellonian University where I could become website developer, but I didn't get into it. For this reason I was forced to start studying in a different field and in the result I became a librarian. :)

For three years I have been working at the Jagiellonian Library in Cracow in the Digital Collections Department, but I feel that my place is definitely somewhere else and I feel like I need to follow my hobby no matter what. I want to do what gives me a lot of joy and inspires me deeply. I want to create websites and applications professionally.

I am self-taught and I try to constantly learn new things to make this dream come true.

Daily quotes

My first project with Javascript. It's based on two arrays - quotations and authors. Quote is created by Math.random() method. The assumption was to generate one quote a day, so the generation button disappears after the quote is drawn. Also added some visual effects and pop-up with copyright info. App is in Polish language.

Interior Designer Website

It meant to be "visiting card" website for interior designer. It uses fullpage.js library for full page concept. Also it allows to create great transitions on scrolling so I wanted to utilize it.

Today's Weather

My first bigger project using Javascript. App which allows you to check the weather of all countries in the world. It's basically made with udemy course, but I made new design and added a lot of new stuff. More detailed information about it you can find in README file on GitHub.

Online Webinar Page

Really simple project which arose becuse I wanted to learn Figma. I created layout by means of this design tool and wanted to encode it. It contains simple transitions on page and custom form.
